‘You Say, We Do’
Join our Student Council and make a difference
As well as have lots of fun!

Cardinal Langley Sixth Form has its own Senior Council of students that is there to represent specific post-16 issues. The Head Boy and Head Girl (and their deputies) are chosen from our Year 12 students in the Summer Term and all students in Year 12 are welcome to apply for the roles.

The Senior Council meets every fortnight, it plays a significant role in the life of the Sixth Form and it is something you can get involved in should you choose to come and study with us. This means you’ll play a leading role in many aspects of Sixth Form life such as organising social activities, organising the Leavers’ Dinner, help to arrange the OAP Christmas social and coordinating charity fundraisers.

You said, we did…

  • We have revamped the 6th form study area.
  • Changed all the displays so they are useful.
  • Revamped our little room to be a useful place to look at information about universities or apprenticeships OR just to go and read!
  • Painted the kitchen and the 6th form study area.
  • Started to organise the 6th form leavers meal.
  • Started to look at a trip for the 6th formers for Christmas.
  • Organised fundraising events to raise money for:
    -  OAP Christmas Parcels
    -  Cornerstone
    -  Coffee4Craig
    - #HelloYellow - YoungMinds World Mental Health Day

WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO NEXT?

Come and join us in our quest to make a difference @sixth_clrchs
We meet weekly in a safe and friendly environment where concerns can be raised and issues can be sorted.
The question is…

WHY NOT JOIN IN?

‘You must be the change you want to see in the world’

Guardian Angels

As members of the Cardinal Langley school community, the Guardian Angels support our ethos by helping to maintain a positive, welcoming and safe environment for all students. They are always around the Village Square during lunch times and are happy to help pupils in any way we can.

They also offer their services through an app called ‘Tootoot’, a safeguarding platform that we use within the school, which allows students from year 7 upwards to safely and anonymously report any worries and incidents of bullying, cyber bullying, racism or anything they deem may be a threat towards themselves and others.

Why not join the Guardian Angels?

We currently have 22 Guardian Angels in 6th form supporting the younger students. Join them in their quest for all students to have a safe and happy time at Cardinal Langley. You will receive training and get to meet other students in 6th form as well as other year groups. Volunteering helps support others as well as yourself.
